I TRY AND BE MINDFUL – try to understand and get to know my subjects, learn about their world, their lives. It’s important to me to find common ground. We are all connected. We all get up in the morning, find a way to support ourselves and our families, love our children, laugh, cry, suffer and rejoice. I thank the people who share these things with me, and make me feel welcome in their lives.
